Good to Know in SEO

As you know, Google has been steadily updating their Panda algorithm (full algorithm change history on SEOMoz here) and this last weekend there are reports Panda 25 is in full effect.

What is the “Panda Update?”
The Panda update is said to be a filter that was introduced in February of 2011. It’s really a “poor content” filter, meant to stop low quality sites from working their way up to the top of the Google result pages.

What does this mean for you?
If you have outdated, “thin”, duplicate or otherwise low quality content on your site, if you haven’t been hit already – you probably will soon. After Panda 25 was confirmed, Matt Cutts of Google said that the data refresh is now becoming part of the normal Google indexing process and so it will no longer be considered an update, but rather a permanent part of the way Google will index and serve up sites.

There is NO escaping the PANDA!
